Efficient Use of Space The Schindler 9500-35 moving walk has an optimal pit depth, amounting to only 34 centimeters in the middle section. This advantage keeps the amount of space needed for installation to a minimum and greatly simplifies integration into predefined settings. Maximum Safety Here too Schindler offers exclusive features: The pallet sides run under the skirt panels, eliminating the usual vertical side gap and thereby maximizing user safety with respect to pinching or wedging. As with all other Schindler models, the patented combplate is designed so that it can move horizontally and vertically whenever pressure is applied by wedged objects. This activates a contact that immediately shuts down the moving walk.
Because the short pallets are directly attached to the chain, there is no need for additional connection elements and pallet rollers. This results in quieter operation as well as in longer service life. With such uses of smart technology at its command, Schindler can provide maximum operational cost-effectiveness and ease of maintenance. Remote Monitoring and Control To keep downtime to an absolute minimum, all units in a building can be supervised and controlled in real time by the optional Schindler LobbyVisionTM building management system or other types of remote monitoring. Operating parameters are monitored and recorded. Statistical reports facilitate the efficient management of all transport systems.
Smooth Operation for Longer Service Life The automatic operation option, controlled by an entrance monitoring system, can lead to big energy savings. If the monitoring system is not activated during a preset automatic time, the moving walk is gently decelerated and comes to a smooth, soft stop. In contrast to conventional abrupt braking, this can greatly lengthen the life of all mechanical components. The monitoring system detects approaching passengers and the moving walk smoothly restarts when required. The variable-speed drive option allows a soft start as well. If complete stopping is not desired, a frequency converter makes it possible to reduce peak currents and energy use by running the unit at crawling speed.
