“ SSE AUSTRALIA HAS PUSHED ME TO BE MORE PROACTIVE, TO TAKE UP OPPORTUNITIES WHEN THEY COME AND TO BE ACCOUNTABLE – IT HAS BEEN A ROLLERCOASTER JOURNEY AND I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE AT SSE FOR IT.” MARIKA KAHLE – THE FOODOO CLUB
As part of the Program, you will: Be part of a learning environment that is student–led, action orientated and relevant. Gain both practical business and personal skills that can be applied directly to your venture. Join a dynamic network of fellow entrepreneurs and support organisations from Western Sydney and across Australia who provide inspiration, encouragement and connections throughout the Program and beyond. Am I eligible? You must: Have an idea for a program or business. Demonstrate passion, drive and commitment to your venture. Demonstrate personal effectiveness and ingenuity. Be available for all 12 days of the Program. Our Learning Approach SSE Australia’s learning process is
people powered change
powered by action and reflection, and is far removed from traditional educational and training programs. There are no lectures, but experienced social entrepreneurs to question and learn from. There are no textbooks, but real life case studies. There are facilitated small group problem solving sessions (Action Learning Sets), ongoing support, business mentoring and coaching, and lots of opportunities to learn from peers and experts. SSE programs provide a unique student-centred package of support and development. We will help you develop the skills you need to grow your idea and give you the confidence and legitimacy to make it a success. What are the costs involved? The full 4–month Program fees have been generously funded by the Department of Human Services under the Better Futures, Local Solutions initiative, so all students attend at no cost.
How do I apply? Please visit sse.org.au for more information. Applications are due by COB June 23, 2014 for the Program starting in August 2014. For further information and to express your interest in attending either of the programs contact Nicholas Lim – email nicholas@sse.org.au or call 0404 451 989.
