I hope you all had wonderful summers because time is of the essence we're already at the beginning of the term! Time management is an extremely important life skill and it's essential through both summertime and the school year. With that being said, make your summer eventful while you can! And when I say eventful, I mean KEY EVENT FULL because I better see your names on the sign up sheet for our wonderful, amazing, carefully crafted, and executed events. Hello Key HClubbers! ello Key Clubbers!
Welcome to the FIRST issue of our second volume of the Maleficent Times! I am Andrew Nguyen and I will be serving as your President for the 2022-2023 term. First and foremost, I hope that all of you are taking care of yourselves during the summer and bonding with friends and family. Along with that, I hope that you supervillains are also continuing to participate in Key Club! Though we’re in the beginning of the term, we have had many events that took place, from service to DCM’s, that I hope you all attended! As a club, I want us to reach our service hour and fundraising goals, so please invite your friends to attend and participate in our activities. I would also love all of you to attend the events we’ll host in the future, especially for those who are new! I fell in love with this organization for the fact that I created so many friends and memories out of it, and I know you all will. Until then, stay schemin’ supervillains :D!

I'm Noah Picazo, one of your editors for this term. I hope you've had a super fun and super relaxing summer so far because the next semester is about to start! When the time comes make sure to manage your time well, take breaks, and don't be so hard on yourself. With school starting again soon it's important to remember to make time for yourself in your busy schedule. Hopefully your schedule will be full of super exciting, super engaging key events and meetings! I'd love to see you at our service events and have a great rest of your summer!

This summer has been very lively for me and hopefully it’s been just the same as you all~ Special SHOUTOUT to those who have been diligently attending service events this summer, I’m very happy that you all are continuing to participate despite the HOT weather! School is quickly approaching and I absolutely cannot wait to have fun with you all at the events that will take place in the future. The fireworks festival was a great time! It was cool being part of setup and seeing all the booths come together. My favorite part was probably the snacks we got during break and the ice cream we got after our shift. I really like volunteering for big events and I hope to volunteer at more events like this festival!

I toured the garden and it was beautiful! I trimmed plants and got to try a drink made by the owners of this native garden. Everyone there was so kind and welcoming. It was very fun and I would come here again. Great way to get summer volunteer hours and enjoy the summer weather.

We were greeted by the nicest park directors and arranged the snack table. We came to the event and taught kids how to rope fake cattle as well as explore the ranch and learn about its history. I would love to come again!
