Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope you had a delightful Christmas break filled with lots of fun and relaxation. We are excited to start a brand new term, the children have already been very busy this week learning all about their new topics. Please have a look at class newsletters sent from the class teacher on Dojo to find out more information about what your child will be learning about this half term.
Nursery’s fun in the snow
Nursery had lots of fun playing in the snow this week. They enjoyed the sledge and observing the ice and snow, looking at the different patterns, textures and how it felt in their hands. They then followed up their findings back inside over a hot Vimto!
We also want to extend a huge warm welcome to our new Nursery children who have started with us this week. They have settled in so well and really adapted to their new routines. Well done!!

Godley Cross Country
There's an exciting week ahead for our crosscountry runners as they will take part in the 2025 Tameside Primary Cross Country Championships next Saturday. It follows a extremely successful Tameside Cross Country Series, that took place back in October, where our Key Stage 2 pupils performed superbly in the three-race event. The upcoming competition will see the Top 10 boys and girls selected for the Tameside team at the Greater Manchester Championships at the beginning of February.
This week we have started our new My Happy Mind Unit - Appreciate. We will be thinking about how being grateful or, being thankful makes us feel. The different ways to show gratitude or to express our thanks.
