‘What’s Going onGodley?’ What’s News?
A great well done to Year 3 who put on a fantastic show this morning demonstrating their learning from this half term. They showcased learning in Science, English and Maths and talked so clearly with fantastic expression. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and thank you so much to the family and friends of Year 3 who came to support the children
Year 3 Golden Assembly School Council
The school council are currently investigating the effectiveness of the new reading spines implemented across school. To gather comprehensive feedback, council members are engaging directly with students in their classes. They have been asking the children what aspects of the reading scheme they enjoy and find beneficial, as well as seeking suggestions for improvements. This approach ensures that the students' voices are heard and considered in the evaluation process. By understanding what works well and identifying areas for enhancement, the school council aims to refine the reading scheme to better support students' learning and foster a love for reading.

Sports achievements of the week
Our Cross-Country runners performed amazingly at the Tameside Cross-Country championship race last Saturday.
The event, which was a qualifier for the Greater Manchester championships, was run in freezing temperatures yet our boys and girls overcame the conditions to post some fantastic results. When the final results had been announced we were all thrilled to hear that four of our runners had won selection for the Tameside team which will take place at the beginning of February.
It was great to hear about the successes of several of our pupils who gained recognition in a variety of sports including swimming, gymnastics and football.
Our Dodgeball team made it through to the finals of the Tameside competition after performing brilliant in the heats on Thursday evening.
