Welcome to Winter!

Are you ready for the big countdown?! It’s that time of year when everyone needs a good rest, so much is going on at the schools and children are tired….not to mention the adults! I hope the preparation for Christmas goes smoothly, not too much stress and of course lots of deep breaths will be needed!

This edition brings lots of great ideas for downtime in the home, with crafts, puzzles and recipes as well as some fantastic ideas of where you can go and the amazing local businesses you can visit who have lots to offer your family.

NOVEMBER

28th November Christmas Market The Lavinia Norfolk Centre, The Angmering School Get into the festive spirit by attending the annual Christmas market and start your Christmas shopping early by visiting the stalls. Try your luck at the raffle, tombola and lucky dip. Proceeds go to The Lavinia Norfolk Centre Charitable Trust. 4-7pm

29 Christmas Tree Lighting and Carols Arundel Town Square and High Street Come and watch the annual tree lighting and enjoy listening to traditional carols. Starts at 6pm

30 Lancing Christmas Village Fair and Trail South Street Lancing Join us for some Christmas Fun! We have live entertainment, stallholders, children's rides and even Santa himself making an appearance with his mischievous elves! 10-1pm

DECEMBER

1 Tree Dressing Weald and Downland Museum Tree Dressing is a magical occasion for all the family, celebrating the importance of trees in our lives. Based on an ancient custom that celebrates the life-giving properties of trees, Tree Dressing takes place on the first weekend in December. With its origins in the Green Man legends and other ancient customs, these days, we will celebrate trees and the natural world. Our celebrations will start from mid-day, with performances and processions. 12 - 4.30pm

7 Christmas Fayre Heene Community Centre Worthing Come and enjoy live entertainment, festive stalls, Santa’s Grotto, tombola, Children’s activities and more. 10-3pm

9 Bring Your Own Baby Comedy Worthing

Pavilion Atrium A funny, friendly afternoon of top comedy, and you can bring your baby! An afternoon of hilarious comedy, where you can relax and have a good laugh at the best comedians in the UK, without needing childcare! There's buggy parking, baby changing and more. You can take some time for yourself and just be entertained. *Please note that we have a 15-month age limit for our little laughers,

15 Kids Workshop Christmas Decorations

Worthing Museum Celebrate winter by creating stunning decorations using materials from nature. What can you make with pine cones, ash and sycamore winged seeds, fine willow rods, and driftwood? Perhaps a star, a reindeer, or even a Christmas tree! Let your imagination run wild and craft unique, homemade decorations that add a special touch to your Christmas celebrations. 17 Supper and Story with Santa Ferring Country Centre Your child will receive a hot meal, ice cream and drink in our Ranger's Cafe, whilst waiting for Santa to visit them at their table with a wrapped gift and personal conversation. 18 -19 Dear Santa Live Connaught Theatre

Worthing Santa is determined to deliver Sarah the most fantastic Christmas present, but he doesn't get it right straight away! With the help of his cheeky Elf, he finally settles on something ‘perfect', just in time for Christmas Eve. From the author of the well-loved children's book Dear Zoo, Rod Campbell, comes Dear Santa and it's LIVE! This show is an ideal introduction to theatre for those aged two years and over.
