15th November 2024
Dear Parent Carers,
Weekly Update: 15/11/24
We hope this update finds you well. On Monday 11th, students and staff joined with Noel Baker Academy for an Act of Remembrance. We gathered together at the front of the school, to reflect and give thanks for the sacrifices made by those in our Armed Forces. Students impressed us with their respect and patience as we took part together.
This week’s update includes updates on Children In Need donations, how to take part in holiday activities, free football sessions and a travel survey from Sustrans. We hope you find this information useful.
Next week, we are expecting our Ofsted report to be published, and we look forward to sharing this with you all through the update.

Travel Survey
Sustrans is working in partnership with Derby City Council to support pupils and their families in travelling actively to school. This survey will be used to identify future opportunities for projects to enable active travel at Derby schools. Sustrans aim to make it easier for everyone to walk, cycle and wheel for local journeys. The survey collects information about the travel choices and barriers to active travel. Please take a few moments to respond to the survey. Sustrans are offering a free Micro Scooter to one response which will be drawn at random. https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/sustrans/parent-travel-survey-derby-cityschools-2024-v5-duplicate
