This 16-month (4-term) full-time program includes guaranteed workplace internships, direct exposure to industry leaders in Toronto’s thriving tech scene, and career support. Students will tackle current technology challenges through case studies, simulations, guest lectures, and a capstone integrated field study project.

The Tech MBA Mentorship Program

The Tech MBA offers a valuable mentorship component that is focused on technology, aimed at helping students to establish connections with experienced executives, gain industry insights, and advance their careers.

Mentors are carefully selected to match with Tech MBA students at the beginning of the program and may change year to year depending on class profile. By participating in the mentorship program, students will have the opportunity to cultivate a strong network of industry contacts and learn from the successful experiences of accomplished technology business leaders.

Admission Requirements – Tech MBA

Undergraduate Degree

• An undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum B average in the last two full years (or equivalent) of academic work.

• Applicants with 3-year degrees may be considered for admission with one year of work experience beyond the required minimum.

Work Experience

Online Application

• Minimum two years of full-time work experience in a technology firm and/or in technology-enabled roles in non-technology firms is required.

Completion of the online application which requires:

• Essays (2 written, 1 timed written, 2 video)

• An up-to-date resume

• Two references 1

• Unofficial copies of transcripts from all previously attended post-secondary institutions 2

Language Proficiency Applicants must produce proof of language proficiency in one of the three ways listed:

• Proof of English language proficiency if studies were not completed in English 3

• IELTS (Academic Test): 7.0 (minimum 6.5 on each dimension)

• TOEFL: 100 iBT (minimum 23 on each dimension)

Schulich’s TOEFL code is B710 with Department Code 02

Graduate Placement Opportunities

Develop leadership skills by participating in the 4-month Graduate Placement course during the last Fall term of your program. You will gain an understanding of the strategic issues and application associated within the technology industry while working alongside companies in the midst of digital transformation. You are supported to secure your placement by the Professional Development & Experiential Education (PD&EE) Office, through the Professional Development Hive courses and through the Tech MBA Mentorship program.

The Professional Development Hive courses are designed to boost your career-readiness. They will guide you in crafting a job search strategy tailored to your target job market, teach you how to effectively develop and promote your personal brand, and equip you with the skills needed to ace interviews and secure your desired position. You will learn through lectures, case studies, simulations, Panels and Speaker Series.
