Science Presentation – Darren Fix 1. Assessment Remediation started 1st quarter a. New 5 point grading b. Proficient level per standard c. Can retake tests d. Grade breakdown – 70% assessments and 30% learning activities e. New textbooks this year which follow standards more closely Committee Updates: 1. Ping Pong Tournament a. 68 students participated b. Winning 7th grade team play Mr. Carruth and Mr. Douglass c. Winning 8th grade team play Mr. Werner and Mrs. Davidson 2. Academic Celebration - “Mock Rock” on January 30 a. Each homeroom is given CD with song that students work on performance with props, etc.

Review Safe School Plan – Approval Pending: Safe School Plan was reviewed by all members and approval is pending upon receipt of school survey information.
