Dove hai trovato l’ispirazione per il tuo editoriale?

Sono letteralmente ossessionata dagli scenari naturali delle sfilate di Jacquemus. Seguo da anni il lavoro in continua evoluzione di Bureau Betak, che padroneggia con grande maestria l’arte dell’allestimento di sfilate di moda. Il loro lavoro per la collezione P/E 20 di Jacquemus in un campo di lavanda è stato per me pura ispirazione.

Quando moda ed arte coesistono?

Secondo me quando gli stilisti elevano il mestiere di realizzare vestiti a un mix di concetto + costruzione, ottenendo il risultato di far sentire le persone uniche, in grado di ricevere emozioni dai capi che indossano.

Qual è il campo artistico che TI appassiona di più?

È così difficile sceglierne uno solo...

A catwalk of ‘models’ in nature. Where did you find inspiration

for your artwork?

I’m obsessed with Jacquemus’ set ups in natural scenarios. I’ve been following for years the work in continue evolution of Bureau Betak, they are mastering the art of fashion shows set ups, and their work for Jacquemus SS20 at the lavender field was pure inspiration to me.

When do fashion and art coexist?

In my opinion when designers elevate the craft of making clothes to a mixture of concept + construction, having as a result pieces that make the people feel in a unique way, to get emotions through the garments.

What is the artistic field you are most passionate about?

Uhh so difficult to choose only one…

Quanto l’arte influenza il vostro lavoro?

Charlotte: La danza, i film, un artista o una certa epoca si riversano sicuramente nel mio lavoro.

Karen: Mi piace visitare i musei e i documentari sull’arte sono sempre fonte di ispirazione per me. Un dettaglio o una forma grafica possono ispirarmi per una scenografia.

Esiste lo scatto perfetto?

C: Ci sono molti scatti perfetti nella loro imperfezione, si tratta piuttosto di catturare una frazione di secondo magica. K: Nella moda bambino lo scatto perfetto è spesso inaspettato, è quando il bambino si lascia andare e non c’è stress sul set.

C’è Mondrian, c’è Haring, c’è l’arte etnica nei vostri scatti...

Qual è l’espressione a cui vi sentite più vicinE?

C: Amo il block coloring, l’abbinamento di monocolori in contrasto fra loro.

K: Adooooro la pittura aborigena.

How much does art influence your work?

Charlotte: Dance, films, an artist or a certain era will be dilute in my work for sure

Karen: I love going to the museum and art documentaries are always a source of inspiration for me. Detail or a graphic shape can inspire me for a set design for example…

Is there such a thing as the perfect shot?

C: There are lots of perfect shots in their imperfection, it is more about capturing a magical split second moment. K: In kids fashion the perfect shot is often unexpected, you get it when the child gives and there is no stress on set .

There is Mondrian, there is Haring, there is ethnic art in your shoot... What is the expression you feel closest to?

C: I love block colour

K: I loooove aboriginal painting.
