2017 Call for LoVPHOs (Local Veterinary Public Health Officer) The Standing Committee on One Health (SCOH) calls every Local Chapter (Member Organization) of IVSA to elect to their boards a Local Veterinary Public Health Officer (LoVPHO). Since 2013, more than 25 Member Organizations started this position, and almost all have held public health/one health projects!
LoVPHO: •
Organizing individual, local public health events supported by SCOH

Materializing the international projects of SCOH as: - World Rabies Day September 28th - Antimicrobial Resistance - One Health Day November 3rd - Stop Tuberculosis Day March 24th

Writing articles for IVSA Veterinary Public Health Journal Raiseing awareness amongst their fellow students and university on topics regarding not only public health but also about IVSA the period of the job is depending on member organization

It is great opportunity to co-operate with other veterinary students, but also with medical and pharmaceutical students on a local and international level. Requirements? • • • •
The LoVPHO has to be chosen by the Local Board. The LoVPHO does not have to be a current board member. He/She has to be an IVSA member. Every Local Chapter may appoint a student member for LoVPHO and a LoVPHO-intraining (junior)!
