For 1 or more players. The notation simply gives the patterns, and the sounds required. Most often, it has been done as a solo piece. But other combinations are possible, and indeed encouraged.
Percussion Set-up is as follows:
Ideally, the wooden boxes would be made of multiplex 9 mm thick, and their the dimensions would be 35cm cubed and 40cm+ cubed respectively. As the boxes ideally are mounted, they both should have one (and only one) open panel.
Regarding sticks, hard mallets work best. In fact, hard vibes mallets are the best of all. A specific make which works very well is the Mike Balter Fiber Model 94.
