Bio-ethanol Production Facility
Image Description: The Dynon precinct is currently an underutilized industrial area, 3km west of Melbourne’s CBD. In developing this project, the main objective was to incorporate productive agriculture into a variety of residential typologies. Incentivised growth and maintenance of cellulous rich agriculture would be converted into bio-ethanol within the site itself. Up to 1,115.04 tons of raw agricultural material can be grown within the site, allowing for the production of more than 364,000 liters of bio-ethanol per year. The fuel would then be used in the residential buildings within the site as a more sustainable and cost effective heat source.
