The summer Camp (Residential Camp) includes facilities such as: Victorian, historic Oxford Campus Environment Serene College quadrangles as well as gardens Magnificent Location at the heart of Oxford The location is strategically placed in the vicinity of all Oxford major attractions Get to visit The Great Hall, referred to as the Balliol’s beautiful, 19th century dining hall Visit the strategically located classrooms and accommodation on-site Good news, internet access is available in all rooms
As you attend the summer camp in Oxford, you’ll get the following courses on offer: Future Leaders, Meeting the challenges of Democracy, gain access to 20 hours weekly on seminars, become part of discussion groups not forgetting academic and cultural excursions. The duration for all these courses is two weeks.
On-site residence If you decide to be an on-site resident, you’ll find on-campus residence that carries all single rooms. A large number of these rooms are en-suite, others have shared bathrooms. Boys and girls have different housing and the houses are supervised by a live-in warden.
Meal plan The meal plan is full on-board. The camp offers all these meals everyday; Breakfast, lunch, dinner. The lunches and dinner are hot where cooks pack lunches for the team on excursion days, there is usually a choice of two to three main courses. As for the excursions, there are full day excursions that go to places such as; Stratford-upon-Avon, Blenheim Palace, Cotswolds, Warwick Castle, London Common activities done include; Oxford museum visits, Punting, Art galleries, Parks, Recreation centers, restaurants, Animal shelters etc.
Activity Camp Newbury
Camp Newbury is filled with exciting ranges of sport, art and great games activities for children of all ages. Sporting activities such as; fencings, quad bikes, constructions and art for your child to explore their calling or hobby The management at Camp Newbury has committed it self into giving your child the most memorable, enjoyment and excitement they’ve ever had in their school holidays. The camp gives your child the opportunity to meet up new friends, try on new activities and improve their abilities. The camp is a fantastic place where your child will have a wonderful time and as a parent or guardian will be pleased to know that they are learning new life skills in a hospitable, safe and organized environment. The activities in the camp are basically too much and a week is just short time to sample it all! Zorbing and Ultimate Inflatables get rotated across all locations to ensure that all children in the camp will have their turn on/in them.
Activities Newbery Camp offers the following activities for campers: Day camps where you can come with your child and have a camp fun day and get to go home or sleep in a hotel at night time. You can sign your child for a holiday club where they get to spend a few days with their peers. Your child will be able to visit and indulge in museum and library activities, indulge in arts and crafts workshops, they will also get to explore dance and drama, and they can also feature in performing art courses. Almost every kid loves sports and at Newbury is a place where sport is born and still thrives; your child will be giving ample time to play and play hard. After a hard days play, you child will be reminded the value of reading and he/she will always remember playing hard and reading hard too go hand in hand.
