Outcome Led Commissioning Contract Cycle Management Suite
Across the world, healthcare systems are facing severe capacity constraints driven by increasing demand, limited financial resources and supply chain inefficiencies. In the UK, care services not only face increasing demand from an ageing population coupled with less healthy lifestyles, but also the need to source significant financial savings. Healthcare supply chains can easily become inefficient due to high rates of complexity and change, or where the priorities of different decision makers are missaligned, or where patient outcome priorities are misaligned with financial incentives. In healthcare, inefficient supply chains not only result in misallocated financial resources but also reduced patient outcomes. It is therefore essential that; outcomes and commercial incentives are clearly aligned and managed in commercial contracts, and that these contracts provide sufficient flexibility to adapt to variable patient demand and innovations in treatments. Furthermore, the volume and variety of contracting activities in healthcare organisations, means that enabling technologies are essential to ensure legal compliance, managing risks and delivering efficiency.

Vendor Performance Management Vendor performance management provides a framework to effectively track, manage and improve provider or supplier performance against agreed key performance indicators. Flexable balanced scorecards allow the routine capturing of weighted key performance indicators. These may be specified as; Patient Outcome, Financial, or operational KPI’s. Evaluations and supporting evidence are inserted by both contract managers, stakeholders and suppliers which are then summarised and reported for trend and exception analysis. Where required, corrective actions can subsequently be raised and evaluated for continuous performance improvement.
