It is truly an honor to become part of the Laguna Elementary family and I am looking forward to future interactions with the faculty, students, staff, and parents. I am incredibly excited to become a part of the Laguna Community and the start of the new school year on August 3rd!
I have been in education over thirty years and my professional experience includes teaching, business education, physical education, an educational counselor, and a school administrator, both at the elementary and middle school levels. I joined the Scottsdale Unified School District in 2005 and have served as an Assistant Principal for the past 17 years. My educational background includes a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Instruction, Master’s Degree in Education, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Bachelor of Science in Business Education. Additionally, joining the Laguna Community is the new Assistant Principal, Mrs. Jennifer Bailey, coming from Cumming, Georgia. Mrs. Bailey has been an Assistant Principal for the past 8 years and a Special Education teacher for 5, in the Forsyth School District, Cumming, Georgia. Mrs. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Master of Science in Curriculum Instruction. Mrs. Bailey has a diverse background and we’re so lucky to have her as the Assistant Principal at Laguna Elementary School.
