CONCEPT THE CRANBROOK PERFORMING ARTS CENTER WILL ACT AS AN EXTRUSION FROM THE LANDSCAPE NOT INTERRUPTING THE ALREADY HARMONIOUS NATURE OF THE CAMPUS. THIS EXTRUSION WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CURRENT LANDSCAPE FEATURES ALLOWING THE BUILDING TO NOT APPEAR AS A MASSIVE FLYTOWER. FURTHERING THIS BY NOT USING UNNECESSARY FOOTPRINT AND UTILIZING THE AUDITORIUM’S ROOF AS THE EXTERIOR BAND SHELL.

PROGRAM AN AUDITORIUM BEING ABLE TO FUNCTION PROPERLY FOR BOTH STUDENT AND PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTIONS. 819 SEATS AVAILABLE WITHIN THE AUDITORIUM INCLUDING THE BALCONY. THE EXTERIOR BAND SHELL’S SEATING IS PLACED ON THE ROOF OF THE AUDITORIUM AND USING THE EXISTING GRAND LAWN FOR MORE SEATING, ALL THE BAND SHELL SEATING IS NOT FIXED BUT LAWN.
