Thank you for taking the time to get to know The Scout Guide Ocala and the small business owners who are part of our community. As editor, I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself and The Scout Guide’s mission.

I grew up in a southern town in Mississippi and have been coming to Ocala since I was 13 to ride and compete my horses on the winter circuit. After earning my degree in public relations from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I now live in Ocala full-time. I love meeting the local business owners who make our area unique; learning about their journeys, goals, and interests; and sharing what makes them so special with readers near and far.

As the daughter of two small business owners, I am passionate about supporting local entrepreneurs and being involved in my community. My goal for The Scout Guide Ocala is to create an inspiring guide and dynamic network that celebrates Ocala’s small businesses and connects them with engaged readers like you. Whether you’re a visitor or a longtime resident, I hope TSG Ocala helps you discover the local shops, experts, or services you’re seeking, and encourages you to celebrate and support our small businesses here in Ocala!
