MAYOR

OF ALPHARETTA JIM GILVIN

My perfect day in Alpharetta begins with an early morning walk along the Alpha Loop, accompanied by my dogs, as the sun rises over the peaceful downtown neighborhoods. Along the way, I greet neighbors and see parents pushing strollers and children lining up for the school bus. Our vibrant community begins to come alive as small business owners open their shops and restaurants, and the streets ﬁll with commuters ready to work, shop, and enjoy our safe, welcoming environment. After a quick stop at one of our local cafés, I walk a few blocks to the heart of downtown Alpharetta.

At City Hall, our dedicated team is already hard at work, striving to create an even brighter future for our citizens. On a perfect day, I’m meeting with our leadership team, fellow city council members, and community leaders to discuss exciting projects like the redevelopment of the North Point Mall corridor and the possibility of bringing an NHL franchise to our city.

As evening approaches, the sound of live music ﬁlls the air, drawing neighbors and newcomers alike to experience the charm of Alpharetta. As the sun sets, I’m ﬁlled with gratitude, reminded of why I am so proud and humbled to call this special place home.

The perfect way to start the day is on the Roswell Riverwalk along the scenic Chattahoochee River. Roswell enjoys a nine-mile stretch along the river, offering parks, trails, and water access. Take in the views of the lush forest, and spot kayakers or paddle boarders enjoying the water. It’s a great way to reset and recharge before diving into the day.

Roswell’s rich history is one of the things I love most about this city. Visiting one of our historic house museums is a must for any day spent here. One of my personal favorites is Barrington Hall. Built in 1839 on the highest point in Roswell, it’s one of the best-preserved Greek Revival antebellum homes in the country and offers a fascinating glimpse into the past.

There’s nothing quite like ending a day in Roswell with live music, surrounded by friends and neighbors, enjoying the vibrant energy. From the city’s free concert series, like Music on the Hill or Riverside Sounds, and dynamic performances at Roswell’s Cultural Arts Center, to the variety of venues and restaurants that host the best in local musical talent, there’s something for everyone’s tastes.

Roswell has a little bit of everything — from nature to history to incredible food and entertainment. Come see why I’m so proud to call this city home!

MAYOR OF MILTON PEYTON JAMISON

A perfect day for me in Milton is – thankfully for me – a typical one! I start work early in the morning heading to my downtown Crabapple ofﬁce, often passing students heading to Crabapple Crossing, Northwestern Middle, or Milton High on my way. All that activity clustered in one place reminds you that Milton is very much a family town – and, in my opinion, the best place to raise a family.

Milton also is home to numerous small businesses, and I’m honored to belong to one of them. Quite a few of these locally owned establishments happen to be restaurants, which is where I’ll have lunch with friends or family. Then it’s back to the ofﬁce and maybe across the Green to City Hall, home to an amazing team of public servants.

After work, you’ll ﬁnd me at Bell Memorial Park or Legacy Park catching one of my children’s practices. If I’m lucky, I’ll go for a run off of Wood Road, Birmingham Park, or along a road like Deerﬁeld Parkway close to the Greenway.

As you can see, I live, work, and play right here in Milton, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
