Group Leader/County Commissioner - Training Course Details
Please note that this information is only relevant for members who are booked to attend a Scouting Ireland Training Course.

Thank you for signing up for your Group Leader/County Commissioner Training, we look forward to welcoming you on the course
This course consists of 3 Modules and a Strategic Development Plan, and all modules must be completed for you to receive the Woodbadge Certification and Woodbeads (if you have not already been awarded them as a programme scouter)
Module 1 - Presented by your Provincial Support Officer (PSO)/ Development Support Officer (DSO) & your County Commissioner
Plus, an online Strategic Development plan session – usually held on Zoom in the evening and lasts approx. (1.5 to 2 hrs). The course leader or PSO/DSO will inform you of these dates
Module 2 - A full weekend, starting Sat Morning at 9am and finishing Sunday at 4.30
Module 3 – A full weekend, starting Sat Morning at 9am and finishing Sunday at 4.30 The strategic Development plan is completed over the 3 modules
The dates for Module 2 & Module 3 are shown in your booking and the cost covers both weekends, please make sure that you are aware and available for both weekends.
Modules 2 and 3 are overnights and accommodation is booked for you based on twin Occupancy (ie you will be sharing a room with another participant). A limited number of single rooms are available, on each course but they incur a single supplement This supplement is paid by you directly to the venue on check-in. If you wish to book a single room, please let the course leader know asap.
The course leader will be your main point of contact for all matters relating to your course. Full details of the venue and course will be sent to you by the course leader.
