Adult Recognitions Higher Awards

VOLUNTEERS ARE THE HEARTS AND HANDS OF GIRL SCOUTS IN OUR COUNCIL, and we take pride in recognizing our members for their commitment, volunteer service, and exceptional contributions. The continued celebration of service depends on you to nominate adult Girl Scouts in your communities.

Here is your opportunity to formally recognize those special volunteers that go above and beyond.

If you have questions about Adult Recognitions, contact awards@gssgc.org. There are also volunteers in each region who have experience with Adult Recognitions. Reach out to your local regional or service unit team to nd out who they are.

Nominations opened August 1, 2022 and close on December 1, 2022. That’s FOUR whole months to tell us all about the fabulousness going on out there.

Remember, nominations submitted on August 1st are for the 2022 Membership Year–covering services provided from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. Any mention of current services (Membership Year 2023) will be discarded, and the nomination marked null and void.

Make sure that if you nominate a recipient, you inform those you’ve asked to show support of the nomination. Remind them that they need to follow-up and submit their own supporting nomination for the package to be complete.

Your local Adult Recognitions volunteers will also be following up with emails. However, nothing beats that personal touch and a reminder of why the nominee is such a fabulous volunteer!

Higher Awards

I know we’re all really excited to come back to troop this fall, but don’t forget, there is an important deadline coming.

For those members working on a higher award who also just bridged out of a previous program level, the deadline for your nal report is coming up quickly.

Confusing? Let us explain. If you were a Junior working on your Bronze Award and you just completed 5th grade, you have until September 30, 2022 to complete your project and turn in your nal report via email to awards@gssgc.org

If you were a Cadette working on your Silver Award and you just completed 8th grade, you have until September 30, 2022 to complete your project and turn in your nal report via email to awards@gssgc.org

If you were an Ambassador working on your Gold Award and you just completed 12th grade, you have until September 30, 2022 to complete your project and turn in your nal report via email to GoGold online.
