Hsin Ling (Irene) Chen, piano Hsin Ling (Irene) Chen is a senior at Emory University graduating with a double major in business administration and piano performance. Originally of Taipei, Taiwan, Chen grew up studying and performing both piano and violin for more than 11 years. Under the tutelage of Hsin-Lan Chien, Chen participated and won awards in competitions throughout Georgia, most notably GMTA and MTNA. At Emory, Chen has studied with Keiko Ransom and Matthew Brower and is currently studying under William Ransom. When not playing piano, Chen is also involved in teaching young students between the ages of 4–13 in her own studio, as well as actively performing around the Emory campus and in her community back home.
Vincent Gao, piano Vincent Gao is a senior at Emory University majoring in chemistry and piano performance on the pre-med track. Gao grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and has been studying piano and violin since age six. At Emory, he is studying under William Ransom. Outside of Emory, Gao travels around the United States to help provide free medical, dental, and vision care to underserved patients.
