36-hole stroke play format. The top (5) five finishers in the Southern California Assistant PGA Championship will advance to the PGA Assistant National Championship. This includes the Champion.
ELIGIBILITY
Only A-8 and B-8 classifications are eligible; must be eligibly employed and in good standing at the time of entry and as of August 4, 2024 to enter. B-8 must have completed Level 1 and started Level 2 to be eligible.
STARTING TIMES
Monday, August 12th - Round 1 will begin at 7:30 A.M. off the first & tenth tees. Round 2 will take place, on the same day, immediatly following the first round. Start times subject to change.

TREVOR CASSIDY ETCHES HIS NAME IN HISTORY
WEST COVINA, CA - Trevor Cassidy of El Caballero Country Club is the 2023 National Car Rental Southern California Assistant PGA Professional Champion after shooting a nine under par, 135 in the 36-hole stroke play event.
Thirty-six Assistant Professionals congregated at South Hills Country Club in West Covina hoping to earn a spot into the top five to earn an exemption into the 47th PGA Assistant National Championship.
Firing off a bogey-free second round of 64, Cassidy will take home his first Assistant Championship title and said, “I feel elated right now! I want to thank El Caballero Country Club for giving me a place to play, practice and earn a living. I have been there for a little over eight years now and it’s an absolute joy to represent the club with this victory today!”
The following four players will be joining Cassidy at the 47th Championship November 16-19, 2023, at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
