I was planning to visit a suitable, calm, and adventurous destination to spend my vacation. I was looking for a beachside location and was eager to try my first underwater dive experience ever. I checked and compared some incredible places to experience the best scuba diving in India. The Andaman Islands are the top-rated destination to witness colorful diverse marine life.

Havelock Island is the ultimate location to explore the best sea diving in Andaman. A number of dive sites are there to choose from and get a favorable dive deal. Before diving, it is important to choose the best dive center to get the best dive experience out of your expectations. Seahawks SCUBA is SSI affiliated and the high-rated scuba diving school in Havelock. The team Seahawks is highly professional, trained, and polite. They explained the whole dive procedure in detail and assured a safe and smooth diving experience. I was a little nervous because I am a beginner as well as a nonswimmer. I was recommended to try boat dive to get the best underwater dive experience. Boat diving is completely safe even for beginners or nonswimmers. Seahawks scuba charges INR 5500 per person for boat dives. The boat dive package includes 30-40 minutes of beachside

training, 40-45 minutes of dive time, 40 photos, and 2 videos per person. Scuba diving in Andaman is a quite relaxing and adventurous watersport to witness memorable marine life. Seahawks operate dives in 4 different slots such as 5.30 am, 7.30 am, 9.30 am, and 11.30 am. One slot takes 3 hours to complete including dive training time. I requested them to book an early morning slot so that I get free around 8.30 am. The next morning, I was picked up from my resort. I filled up a declaration form mentioning my contact details and an assurance that I am completely fit for dive. Then I got dressed wetsuit for comfortable diving. Mandatory training sessions for scuba diving I was taken to the Govind Nagar beach for a compulsory training program. Prior dive training is helpful to have a safe and smooth underwater dive experience. You get to learn the following skills during the training session. How to release underwater ear pressure? How to breathe through a regulator connected to a dive tank? How do release water from the nose and eyes covering mask? When and how to use underwater hand signals? While training, they make you comfortable in the water and let you practice all your learned skills in the water. On completion of training, we moved to the Tribe Gate dive site via a speed boat for the next dive adventure.

Scuba diving experience at Tribe Gate Tribe gate is a popular dive site to experience the best Scuba diving in Havelock Island. The dive site is located approx 1.5 kilometers away from Govind Nagar beach training point. It has a maximum depth of 14 meters and is known for multiple species of fish in groups and other sea animals. The reef is quite big and takes 40-45 minutes of dive time to take a round of the whole reef. Tribe gate has some awesome corals where lies colorful and diverse marine life including turtles, octopuses, sea cucumbers, and other sea creatures. During diving, an additional divemaster will click your approx 40 photos both on the surface and underwater. 1-minute video of your back roll entry in the water and 3-minute underwater video. My first underwater dive with the Seahawks was awesome and the guys Nicco, SJ, and Ashish kept my dive expectations up. The underwater beauty of Andaman is really colorful and unmatched which is a bit difficult to describe in words. Still, there is much more to explore that can’t be covered in single dive. Hope to plan my next dive with you guys soon.
