Most of the pool problems can be easily prevented and solved with a shock treatment of pool. Give a shock-treat to your pool only if it is necessary and test the chlorine freely available in the water and a pH balance of water. If any of the following situations occurs you may perform the supplementary shock treatments. The situation may be like

Windstorms and heavenly rains

Intense Temperature.

Algae growth.

Slimy and murky water.

More than usual swimmers.

The stinking smell from the pool water.

The Water Chemistry of Pool:When you use your pool more frequently, make a check of your water on a weekly basis. Steps to check the waterStep 1- Test the water of your pool only with a test kit. Dip the test strip in the water and compare it with the chart. According to the pH level use the pH increaser and decreaser

Note: - The pH level should always be between 7.2 and 7.6. Caution: - Use the chemical as directed and follow the precautions for storage as well as the use of protective equipment and clothing. Step 2- Test the sanitizer level. Sanitizers either contain Chlorine (common), Salt or Bromine. It doesn’t matter if the chlorine is high the sun burns all the chlorine.

Note: - The Chlorine level must be between 1 and 4 parts per million.

Step 3- Give a shock to the pool water. The shock will prevent the water from various water contaminants. It is advisable to add shock weekly, as well as before or after pool parties, during periods of high temperature, and after storms. Step 4- Algaecide is a good prevention method to slow down a growth of algae. So add algaecide weekly.

How to Clean the Pool Surface? Make sure your swimming pool should be cleaned on a regular basis. Step 1 Glide the water with a pool skimmer. Step 2 Brush the walls with a pool brush. Step 3 Vacuum the surface, especially the areas which get very less circulation. Vacuum can be manual or automatic. The surface is the prime spot for algae growth. The steps to using a manual vacuum

Make sure the filter is running while placing the vacuum head and pole with the hose attached in the pool to fill with water.

Hold the open end of the hose over one of the return jets to blow out all the air in the hose. Have someone to turn off the filter when the bubbles stop but keep the end of the hose underwater.

Insert an adapter into the skimmer intake and hook up the hose into the adapter.

Turn on the filter and place it to the waste this will drains the dirty water directly into the waste. Since you are removing the dirty water through the vacuum, fill the pool with a hose at the same time.

Guide the vacuum along the bottom of the pool. When the process is completed turn off the filter, disconnect the hose, and turn the system back to the Filter. Apart from these, you need to perform precautions from common water problems, backwash the Filter, pool chemical safety, and water circulation which is the most important thing to retain your Swimming Pool Design for a longer time.
