All of our students have now submitted their UCAS 2020 applications with expert help and guidance from our careers advisors and tutors. We caught up with Careers and Enrichment Team Leader, Susie Christie, to find out more: “We work closely with curriculum to ensure all students attend UCAS surgeries so we can support them with their applications and discuss all their HE progression options. We also host regular talks and workshops with guest advisers from local universities. “We have a cohort of very talented, academic, and high achieving students here in Lewes, many of who have applied to some of the top universities in the country. This year, over 70% of the universities that have been applied to are Russell Group Universities. Bristol, Kings, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham are our students’ top five favourites! We have a thriving Russell group and Oxbridge society which is well supported by some really prestigious universities. “We also had 19 high flying students who have applied to Oxbridge. I’m really excited to say, that, Hope Kelly has accepted her place at Oxford to study Law and all the others chose Russell group universities including Edinburgh, Exeter and UCL. “Each year more students are securing places at top universities and it’s a real privilege to be a part of their journey.”
