What is Mental Health?
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological and social wellbeing. It affects our thoughts, feelings and actions. It helps us decide how to deal with stress and make healthy choices.
It is natural to feel a wide range of emotions. When we are happy, we know what to do, but when we feel down it can feel harder to cope. Feeling low or worried is normal. If you begin to struggle with everyday activities, like getting out of bed, this is the point you should seek advice from your friends and family. Sometimes, you may want to get a professional opinion. During changes like starting college, depression and anxiety symptoms can surface.
