The supplied filters were submerged into a reservoir of General Test Water Type 1 (GTW1, NSF P231). The test water was drawn up through the filter at 3.50 inHg. Each filter was conditioned by the passage of 10 liters of GTW1 prior to being subjected to the filtration challenge study.
