To prevent the spread of COVID-19, always
• Wear a mask over your nose and mouth. • Maintain social distance of six feet or more • Place signs reminding girls and customers to maintain distances, and remind them verbally. • Before, after, and during use, disinfect all high-touch surfaces (tables, handles, displays, wagons, money boxes) and any other shared equipment. Avoid using cloth or other table covers that are hard to clean at the site. • Follow sanitation and hand-washing requirements, including washing hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Girls must avoid in-person participation if:
• They or their families have been exhibiting signs of illness, such as fever, coughing, or sneezing;
• They or anyone in their households have been exposed to COVID-19 within the previous two weeks; or
• They or someone in their households have been diagnosed with
COVID-19 and have not yet been cleared as non-contagious. If anyone involved tests positive for COVID-19 after in-person participation, immediately notify us at accidentreporting@sdgirlscouts.org or 619-298-8391.
In order to protect health, safety, and privacy, our staff will manage communications. For additional guidance, visit our Staying Connected website. Information for hosting in-person activities can be found under the drop-down menu COVID-19 Guidance for Volunteer-led Activities.
