Friends of SDPB Welcome New Staff

Friends of SDPB is pleased to announce the additions of new team members Meg Hentges and Adam Davenport.

Meg Hentges.

Meg Hentges

Meg Hentges joins us as the new Sound Vision Campaign Coordinator. Meg works with Visionary Society and Legacy Society members. She’ll especially focus on the efforts of Friends of SDPB’s Sound Vision Campaign.

Born and raised in Madison, SD, Meg is a graduate of SDSU. Prior to joining Friends of SDPB, Meg worked for area nonprofits, including the American Cancer Society, Dow Rummel Village, and most recently, Volunteers of America: Dakotas. “I’ve considered myself a public radio ‘junkie’ for several years,” says Meg. “I enjoy staying informed on news and current events. I especially love the arts and culture public broadcasting offers. My husband is a mega fan of Ask This Old House. My children love everything PBS KIDS, from Daniel Tiger, to Wild Kratts and Pinkalicious.

Meg has enjoyed interacting with like-minded folks who appreciate public broadcasting. “I’ve enjoyed learning why and how much our supporters love and feel connected to SDPB,” says Meg. “I can remember seeing the SDPB booth at the South Dakota Festival of Books nearly 10 years ago and thinking, ‘that would be an incredible organization to work for!’ I feel privileged to have the opportunity to be a part of this vital South Dakota resource. I especially look forward to getting to know SDPB supporters across our great state.”

Meg lives in Sioux Falls with her husband, Bryan, and sons Hank and Walt.

Adam Davenport.

Adam Davenport

Adam Davenport joins Friends of SDPB as the Chief Information Officer, where he oversees the member database, processes donations, and coordinates member mailings. “If you contact Friends to change your address, make a pledge, update your member payment information, it’s likely that I will be working with you,” says Adam.

Adam says he’s thrilled to be a part of the Friends of SDPB team. “My wife and I enjoy listening to public radio. We’re avid fans of NPR’s Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me and Planet Money. I always have SDPB Radio on in the car and it’s one of my primary sources for news.”

Adam and his wife live in Sioux Falls.
