Out in the Silence
America ReFramed Out in the Silence
America ReFramed Out in the Silence follows filmmaker Joe Wilson who announces that he is to be wed to another man, and a firestorm of controversy ignites his small Pennsylvania hometown. Drawn back by a plea for help from the mother of a gay teen being tormented at school, Wilson’s journey dramatically illustrates the universal challenges of being an outsider in a conservative environment and the transformation that is possible when those who have long been constrained by a traditional code of silence summon the courage to break it.

We'll Meet Again: Coming Out
We'll Meet Again: Coming Out
Before the 1970s, being gay in America meant facing widespread discrimination. To come out was to risk everything: family, job and even safety. For two young men growing up in New England, living a life out of the closet was only possible because of the people who helped them open the door. Join Ann Curry as people who first met during the early days of the LGBTQ movement reunite on We’ll Meet Again Coming Out.
