Friends of SDPB Establishes Endowment with Watertown Area Community Foundation

The Friends of South Dakota Public Broadcasting is pleased to announce a partnership with the Watertown Area Community Foundation (WACF) establishing an endowment account. The endowment with WACF enables SDPB donors from northeast South Dakota to keep their dollars locally within their community.

“We are honored to welcome the Friends of SDPB Fund to the Watertown Area Community Foundation,” says Jan DeBerg, WACF Executive Director. “Whether you enjoy watching sports, the arts, or educational programming, a gift to this fund is another way to support your passion. South Dakota Public Broadcasting has been a longtime staple for many television viewers. This endowment fund ensures optimum local programming for generations to come.”

“As a Watertown native, I am glad that we can partner with the Watertown Area Community Foundation,” says Ryan Howlett, Chief Executive Officer of Friends of SDPB. “It is a wonderful community, and SDPB is happy to add to the vitality of Codington County and the surrounding area.”

In addition to WACF, Friends of SDPB has established endowment funds at the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, the South Dakota Community Foundation, the Black Hills Area Community Foundation and SDPB’s private foundation.
