Manufacture
All parts required for manufacturing are made by our sister company Blaze Signs. We have a full time member of their staff located in the Cygnia office to ensure a seamless and speedy service.

Pets at Home give Green Light for LED Retrofit
As part of their continuous drive to reduce their carbon footprint Pets at Home embarked upon a LED retrofit to the signage across their entire estate. Cygnia have been providing signage maintenance services to Pets at Home since 2009. On the back of a strong working relationship Pets at Home and Cygnia started exploring the LED retrofit programme together in early 2016. “Having put together the business case, the decision to go ahead with the programme was easy to make, as well as the environmental benefits the financial returns were also very clear” says Janice Williams, Head of Facilities Management at Pets at Home. As a pilot project, using a selection of different manufacturers’ products, Cygnia retrofitted the signs at 10 Pets at Home stores near their Support Office in Cheshire. Senior management visited the stores and based on the quality of illumination, selected the products for the rest of the programme. Cygnia carried out all works outside of shopping hours, eliminating any disruption to the stores trading, whilst there, the signs were also thoroughly cleaned and re-tensioned, all work carried out included a 5 year parts and labour warranty.

4 Cygnia started providing sign maintenance services for Maplin in 2016. Cygnia were first asked to provide a quotation for LED retrofits for a number of signs that required maintenance. “The LED conversion financials presented by Cygnia were extremely compelling” says Jonathan England, Head of Property at Maplin “For every sign we upgrade to LED we reduce our CO2 emissions every year and our electricity consumption is cut dramatically. Taking into account the cost of the work carried out by Cygnia payback is no more than 12 months for each sign upgraded.” The programme not only helps us to maintain our image, achieve our ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) obligations and reduce our annual energy bill, it is also good for the environment. My idea of a great maintenance company is one that does what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it and cause the minimum amount of inconvenience when they do it. Cygnia have been providing this level of service to Maplin and as a result have been selected as one of our preferred suppliers.
