APPRENTICESHIPS One of the Swale Skills Centre’s main aims is to provide industry with keen apprentices that have a good grounding in engineering. To facilitate this we have built partnerships with local industry and training providers such as SEMTA. Each year all of our students are invited to apply for apprenticeships and attend interviews with our partners with a view to finding them a suitable placement.
Past performances show that this works very well and a significant percentage of our students get apprenticeships. The majority of the local companies then send their apprentices back to the Swale Skills Centre to gain further qualifications and experience in engineering. For more information about apprenticeships go to: www.cxk.org/connexions www.se-apprenticeship.co.uk www.apprenticeships.org.uk
