Last admission to Discovery Centre and Seabird Café is 45 mins before closing. Open every day (except Christmas Day). Christmas opening times may vary.
Fantastic family days There is a lot to experience at the 5 star Scottish Seabird Centre all year round.
In the Discovery Centre:
– Control the interactive live cameras – Zoom in on wildlife in its natural habitat on the local islands – Enjoy nature films, seasonal events, fish tanks and 3D TV – Go wild in the Kids’ Zone and chill out in the Kids’ Corner.
Did you know:
– The Bass Rock is the world’s largest Northern gannet colony and BBC Countryfile Magazine’s Nature Reserve of the Year 2014 /15 and 2015 /16 – The Isle of May is the biggest puffin colony on the east coast of Britain – From September to December it is seal season and lots of pups are born.
Seaside sun deck The Seabird Café offers locally-sourced produce and stunning views out to the Bass Rock and the beach. There’s also lots of top treats in our Gift Shop. Entrance to the café and shop is free and well-behaved dogs are welcome on the deck (water bowls provided).

Boat trips are very popular and we advise booking in advance at www.seabird.org All trips are subject to weather, sea conditions and demand (minimum numbers apply). Trips are not guaranteed, but a full refund or alternative dates / times are offered in the event of cancellation for the above reasons. Level of mobility required. Duration of trips is approximate. Sightings of particular wildlife not guaranteed. For Forth Ferry alternative boats may be used.
