1. Seabird Catamaran Cruise
Cruise around the Bass Rock and the island of Craigleith. On board our custom-built, 55 seat catamaran enjoy an hour-long trip where you will see a variety of wildlife. Look out for gannets, puffins, razorbills, guillemots, cormorants, shags, seals and occasionally dolphins. The facts:
– April to September, subject to weather and sea conditions. – Suitable for all ages. – Around 1 hour.
2. Three Islands Seabird Seafari
Experience the Bass Rock, Craigleith, the Lamb and the historic coastline on our Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs). Our 12 seat RIBs are fast and, as well as the islands, take in the mighty Tantallon Castle, the secret wartime base at Gin Head, Canty Bay and historic shipwreck sites. This is a longer trip than the Cruise. The facts:
– April to September, subject to weather and sea conditions. – Boats are fast; full waterproofs recommended. – 12 passengers. – Minimum age 7. – RIBs are not suitable for anyone with back ailments or who is pregnant. – Around 1 hour 15 mins.
3. Isle of May landing trips
Two top wildlife destinations in one! Land on the Isle of May National Nature Reserve and cruise past the Bass Rock. Free to explore or guided photography trips also available. This is the biggest puffin colony on the east coast of Britain (April to July) plus guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, fulmars, shags, eiders, terns and seals. The facts:
– April to September, subject to weather and sea conditions. – Boats are fast; full waterproofs recommended. – 12 passengers. – Minimum age 7. – RIBs are not suitable for anyone with back ailments or who is pregnant. – Around 4 hours, with a minimum of 2 hours 30 mins ashore.

We follow the wildlife watching code and our expert guides provide a fantastic experience, with minimal disturbance to the wildlife.

Members can also enjoy free entry to the Discovery Experience and discounts in the Gift Shop and Seabird Café. Our boat trips are very popular and advance booking is strongly recommended at www.seabird.org. Full payment is taken at the time of booking – bring your confirmation on the day. * Please note: we cannot guarantee sightings of particular wildlife. For safety reasons, some of our boat trips have age and fitness level restrictions, so please check that you will be able to travel.
