The Springtime Glass Float Find is an annual tradition for Seabrook! ‘Finders’ come from miles to participate in this daily hunt. Many guests book their visit specifically around the springtime float find. This year’s glass float find begins March 1, 2022. For years, Seabrook has had these exsquisit pieces of art blown traditionally and contemporarily by expert owners at Opal Art Glass – Glassblowing Studio & Fine Art Gallery, locally in Cosmopolis, WA. The dazzling colors on each float are inspired by springtime. Along with the thrill of the hunt and the victory of the find comes the forever memory encapsulated in your personal, wonderfully unique glass float. For details on the find, scan the QR Code. 1

As we approach the close of Black History Month, we would like to take this time to amplify the voices of two black-owned businesses that have contributed to the Grays Harbor County community. Sky Island Farm is a flower and vegetable farm owned by Kate and Bil Thorn. They own and operate the longest running Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA) program in Grays Harbor County. You may recognize them from the Saturday markets, or, from their gorgeous wreaths and garlands that adorn Seabrook during the holiday season. This local farm has worked with officials on the county, state and federal level. They love sharing their wealth of knowledge with legislators, farmers, and community members alike. Their sliding-scale policy makes it possible for everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy farm-fresh produce. Beyond Organic Farm is a meat CSA and agritourism destination. This family-owned operation provides a source of high quality, pastured meat to the Grays Harbor County community. They are currently expanding their infrastructure to include a mobile commercial kitchen. Their goal is to offer nutritious, nutrient dense, farm-to-table meals free of charge to members of their community.
