It’s a family thing on the WA coast and surrounding area that began for Tiara at age 5 – a summertime lifestyle of catching salamanders, playing in the forests, and swimming in Lake Quinault.

Tiara and her husband Jake, whom she met in Chicago playing adult league kickball, stumbled upon Seabrook in 2016 following a family trip to Quinault. From that moment on, they made Seabrook a must-do while visiting family in Washington. Seabrook reminded Tiara fondly of those childhood summers visiting her grandmother.

Over the past few years, while living outside Austin TX, Tiara and Jake were actively looking (dreaming) for a reason to return to the PNW and that lifestyle. Once they heard about the opportunity at Seabrook to own and operate a biking adventure venture, they knew it was time to take the leap.

This innovative couple, Jake with an engineering background and Tiara in retail and the electric vehicle industry, have brought Basecamp (and the summertime lifestyle vibe) to Seabrook.

Basecamp is coming to you in phases, and ultimately as your hub for “preparation, collaboration, rest, and adventure.” Currently, there’s an array of eco-friendly adventure for your time in Seabrook, including bikes and boards to rent, and beachwear gear for the lifestyle. Coming in May, add e-bikes to the array.

Basecamp and Pacific Edge Adventures will offer a collection of rental services including but not limited to surfing gear and bikes – both peddle and electric. Adventures to include kids camp activities along with surfing, hiking, and biking lessons. Outdoor excursion offerings will vary, and Tiara and Jake are excited to provide additional details in upcoming weeks.

Tiara and Jake, with their 9-year-old son and 5-month-old daughter, packed up and moved to their Seabrook home in January and launched Basecamp in March. Now as they settle in, Tiara says, “We are thrilled to escape our typical routine, slow down, watch our children grow up, and enjoy the company of community and family.”
