Welcome to the 15th edition of Out There!

It’s a double anniversary as it’s also the 25th year of Out There Arts and this year’s festival is a stellar celebration edition packed with worldclass quality and rich variety. I’ve had the privilege to see several thousand shows over my 25 years with Out There and some of the very best of them are here in Great Yarmouth, the UK Capital of Circus.

Out There Festival 2023 boasts 34 artistic companies drawn from 17 countries and 5 continents, 108 performances, and a dozen UK premieres spread all over, as well as a wealth of opportunities to participate, create, explore and immerse yourself in the transformational weirdness and wonderfulness of it all.

Amongst this year’s highlights, the all-female powerhouse Les Filles Du Renard Pale present ‘Résiste’ – an absolutely unmissable tour de force of tightwire and music beyond your imagination (one of our few ticketed shows –book now!). There’s a rich seam of music and circus combined in extraordinary innovative forms this year – from Zen Del Sur’s beautiful fusion of Flamenco and Acrobatics to the jaw-dropping one man band trio Oktopus Orkestar. And we welcome back from Flanders four superb companies – Collectif Malunés, Sur Mesure, Amoukanama and Circus Katoen –for a special Spotlight on Flanders programme. All this and much much more in a packed programme with something for everyone in one of the biggest Street Arts Festivals in the UK!
