The Rolling Stones, Elton John, The Police, Dire Straits, Sting and Jimmy Buffet all recorded with Beatles producer George Martin at his AIR Studios on Montserrat after it opened in 1979. Martin’s vision was to create a secluded paradise in the Caribbean where musicians could give free rein to their creativity in idyllic surroundings with sun and sea. His concept was a hit: AIR Studios produced some of the greatest albums of the 1980s. Filmmaker Gracie Otto paid homage to the studios in 2021 with her stirring documentary “Under the Volcano”. Inspired by her film, you will dive deep into the musical power of the 80s on our “SONGS ’N’ SAIL” cruise.

Joining us: music expert and presenter Uwe Bahn

Uwe Bahn, a native of Lauenburg, originally wanted to become a teacher. But he finished his studies, life took a completely new direction. Bahn began a career in radio and television, quickly becoming one of the most well-known and popular presenters on the German channel NDR. He has hosted over 3,000 radio shows, been filmed for over 750 television productions, written fifteen books, and presented over 1,000 events. Above all, he has made a career out of his passions for music, sports, and travel. His concept, custom-made for the SEA CLOUD SPIRIT, focuses on music in an ideal way for our private yacht and its small group of guests. Feel the beat – entertainment guaranteed!
