Rosemary Drysdale is at the Crypt in Church Street from 29th July until 3rd August with diverse work including mixed media. On Wednesday 4th August from 10am to 4pm the Crypt is hosting a workshop in connection with September’s Tide Mills Project. Cecily Tucker takes over at the Crypt with an exhibition of oil paintings on board which can be seen from Saturday 7th to Sunday 15th August. Most are new paintings including local scenes painted during Lockdown when going out very early in the morning. For details about an exhibition aptly titled Cliffhanger, at South Hill Barn from 7th to 15th August, turn to page 22. Back at the Crypt, the gallery’s summer project takes place from 17th to 22nd August with the final day, Sunday, devoted to an exhibition of output from the project. Seaford Art Club takes over the space from 27th August to 1st September for its annual show. And from 23rd August it’s back up to South Hill Barn until 30th August for a show celebrating Cuckmere and its heritage. Newhaven Festival
