introduction Dolly Pro was first released in 2001 as a set of postscript fonts in roman, italic, small caps, and bold weights. With the purpose of being used as a book typeface with flourishes. Conceived by the Dutch/Finnish collective, Underware, an independent type company founded in 1999. Underware was founded by Akeim Hemlig, Bas Jacobs, and Sami Kortem채ki. Based in Den Hagg, Helsinki, and Amsterdam. The three designers met at the KABK, The Royle Academy of Art, The Hague. Underware is a design studio that specializes in designing and producing typefaces. Conventional in terms of legibility, yet contain concepts that seek new visual, typographic, and linguistic possibilities.
