PLAY IS ABOUT FINDING ONES PLACE IN THE WORLD. THIS PROJECT ATTEMPTS TO FORM AN UNDERSTANDING OF DIALOUGE THROUGH THE PARTICIPATORY PLAY AND CREATIVE INTERACTIONS/ COLLABORATION WHICH IS AN ESSENTIAL CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE THAT IS MISSING IN MANY URBAN AREAS. THE TRANSPARENCY OF MATERIALITY TRANSFORMS A ROOM OR CLASSROOM INTO AN OPEN EDUCATION SPACE THAT DISPLAYS TEACHING, PLAY, AND ACTIVITY.
THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD SHOWS EVIDENCE OF RESIDENTS UTILIZING THE FRONT YARD SPACE AS AN OUTDOOR LIVING ROOM. DECORATING AS THEY SEE FIT, THE NEIGHBORHOOD BECOMES A COLORFUL SIGHT.

FROM OBSERVING THE DRAWING, THE SUBJECT’S LINE WORK CREATES AN ILLUSION FOR THE VIEWER TO QUESTION THE FACES OF THE OBJECT. THE IDEA OF PERCEPTION COMES INTO PLAY.
