A PRIME EXAMPLE WOULD BE NO BLACK TIE BISTRO AND PUB. THEY KEPT MOST OF THE ORIGINAL FACADE BUT ALSO ADDED EXTERIOR STAIRS FOR EASE OF ACCESS AS WELL AS PROVIDING AN ALTERNATE ROUTE AWAY FROM THE PERFORMANCE STAGE

SEVERAL FORMS WERE TRIED OUT IN ORDER TO BRING OUT THE EXISTING BUILDING. BUT NO MATTER HOW I MANIPULATED THE EXISTING HOUSE, THE RESULTS WERE UNSATISFACTORY. BUT, BY TAKING AWAY THE EXISTING BUILDING, IT STOOD OUT MORE THAN ANY OF MY ATTEMPTS. SOMETIMES BY TAKING AWAY, YOU ADD MORE.
