I recorded the changes and those parts of oxidation on the banana peel through 90 minutes and used different colours to p re s e n t d i ff e re n t t i m e p h a s e s . Th e n I p u t a l l o f t h e m t o g e t h e r.

Project - Banana I observed the shape of the banana and made a model for it. I peeled the banana at first and then I came up with an idea that this can be an external design of a bridge. Thus, I used wire (soft) to represent the peel and cardboard (hard) to symbolise its pulp.

1/222 s I took a photograph of this interesting site. I consider it interesting because while the pavement is full of fallen leaves, there are still some green grasses sprouting from the roots of the tree.

Mapping & Pavilion

Project - Mapping & Pavilion

I aim to create a map without using any object that is observed by eyes, which means I use my ears, nose, feet and even mental feeling to illustrate the journey from my accommodation to the campus. With the help of technology, I am able to record all the data within my watch along the journey. By making the model, I try to demonstrate all the feelings through space by wire and sewing then create an 'invisible' map.

After the material experiment with the cotton thread, I decided to use sewing strings which I believe are better for sewing between the wires. Additionally, I added some columns to support the surface and also some strings to hold up the central part of the surface. Then I took some photos with the model itself and the shadow. I found it extremely interesting when casting the shadow on the wall with different angles (top and bottom mid). When the light was right above the model, then the shadow added an additional layer on the model (bottom left) which brought more interaction within the model.

Air Quality Inspired by the mapping project, I recorded some data along the same route as the mapping project with an air quality real-time detector. Then I put all the numbers to an excel table (top right) and generated a three dimensional chart (bottom right). I later used the chart model as the roof of my pavilion.

Ground Surface I selected two curves from the mapping project (speed and heart rate) and simplified them then put them on to x and y-axis respectively to generate a s u r f a c e o n t h e g ro u n d f l o o r o f t h e p a v i l i o n .

Motherboard

Project - Motherboard As technology advances, humans are more reliant on computers than ever before. Known as the heart of a computer, the motherboard plays a crucial role in computer performance. Nowadays, people often spend a lot of time on computers, whose operation count on the motherboard. I believe that means people are now living on the computer, in the motherboard. Therefore, a space or living area in the motherboard has been increasingly important in the near future. Diamond

Project - Diamond Global warming is definitely the biggest issue we are facing right now. Due to rising sea level, our living area is compressing. We need to be prepared that one day we are going to live in high mountains and valleys. This project is a conceptual picture of our future living environment in the valley. The external design of this shelter is inspired by diamonds which tell people to cherish the resources and protect the fragile environment. I believe Earth is just like a diamond in the universe. It is precious and rare. Thus, it is important for humans to cherish this diamond instead of destroying it.
