How to make rugs, carpet, table mat with old clothes

We have many old clothes that are not in use for a long time. Despite wasting all these clothes, we can reuse them to make some useful things like rugs, carpet and table mat. Here are some very easy tips to make designer home dĂŠcor pieces with the waste clothes eating away the storage space in your closets.

Rugs Cut long strips of almost two inches thick size from your old clothes. Now take three stripes and make a braid. Keep attaching more stripes to make the braid according to the size of the rug you want to make. You can use sarees and dupattas for long stripes. Place it on a flat surface and roll it over the surface in a circular way. After finishing your bread roll, now stitch the end of the braid at the outer side with the help of needle and thread and attach it to your roll. Now start from the center of the roll and stitch to attach all layers from the center to the end. Keep attaching from all sides similarly and your rug is ready.

Carpet or Floor Cushion Take two old printed clothes in two different colors. Cut them into multiple squares of 4inches. Take a plain color fabric and make squares of 3 ½ inches. Now stitch one small and one big square by attaching the corners to corners and make plates to adjust extra cloth. Similarly, attach all big squares with small and attach all square bags together in different colors. Make a rectangular shape by attaching them with the help of needle and thread. Now make small cuts on the back side of each block (back side is plain) and fill cotton. Remove the cuts by stitching. Use another used cloth for the base of your carpet. Stitch it on the back and make borders to finish. The bubble carpet is ready to use.

Ta ble ma t Use any plain or printed cloth, cotton would be better if you have. Take another used cloth with a plain color for the base of your table mat. Cut it into rectangular shape according to the size of table and seatings on that. Now stitch both the cloth together on three sides by facing right side in. Now, turn the right side out and pull the corners. To close the open side fold the fabric inward and stitch all the side once again You can decorate your table mat with lace or can use sarees with border iron it and use to decorate your all seating of a table.

Use your old useless clothes by using above mentioned tricks and decorate your home in the best possible way and that too without spending fortune on expensive home dĂŠcor items. Are you ready for the compliments from the guests visiting your home?
