Top Tips for a Winning Entry 1.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT AWARD CATEGORY FOR YOUR COMPANY

Think about what your main achievements have been and play to your strengths by entering in the most relevant category.

2.

BE CONCISE AND TO THE POINT

3.

PROVIDE FACTS

Tell the judges about your best and most valuable achievements in a clear and concise way. Be clear in your expression and avoid rambling preambles and verbosity. Succinctness is key.

It always helps to support all your claims and achievements with factual information in the form of statistics or results (no attachments are required). Definitely include exact details of what have been achieved and the resources or innovations that were used to achieve them.

Top Tips for a Winning Entry 4.

ADHERE TO THE GUIDELINES

5.

STICK TO THE TIMEFRAME

6.

SPELLING AND GRAMMAR

While giving context to your achievements is important, don’t overload judges with unnecessary details. Strict adherence to the guidelines in each category and the word limits is paramount, as judges will not accept anything beyond the limit.

Please bear in mind that your achievements are time bound, i.e. these have matured or implemented within the past year. It is important to remember that these awards are for the previous 12 months, and achievements prior to that do not fall within the qualification remit.

This may sound obvious, but it is impossible to overstate the importance of correct grammar and punctuation. Judges might disqualify an entry simply because it has a lot of spelling mistakes or that it is not clear in its presentation.
