AUDRA WEASER “LIGHTFALLS”

Audra Weaser spent childhood summers in the Pacific Northwest and turns to its dynamic and dramatic landscape as inspiration for this collection. With an ongoing interest in the play of light on water, here Weaser presents shimmering, layered surfaces that echo the atmospheric and prismatic colors of the Northwest’s abundant misty waterfalls. Weaser’s process of sanding through layers of paint, effectively creates the dynamic space between the power and reflection inherent in these forces of nature, provoking an emotional, internal response in the viewer and an invitation to deeply immerse themselves in the work.

RACHEL BRUMER “YOU KNOW THAT PLACE?”

In this exhibition, Rachel Brumer creates a sense of place through fragments of nature, blends of color, memory and mood. Her unusual use of hand-dyed and painted textiles are collaged into continents of flowers, arcs of earth, horizons on the edge of nowhere, unknown yet familiar and personal. Together, the works are an invitation to way find, to see what you will, and to call this place. your
