ArtX Contemporary is pleased to announce the representation of Juan Alonso-Rodríguez. As a Cuban American, self-taught artist, Alonso-Rodríguez’s work is an on-going exploration of abstraction inspired by his Caribbean origins. His 40+ year career in Seattle has earned him numerous awards including the Seattle Mayor’s Arts Award, The Neddy Fellowship, and the Washington State Governor’s Arts Award.

Thank you for all the great support you have given my dream, beginning in 1973, to have a gallery and the chance to celebrate the incredible insights shared by so many artists. After more than 2500 exhibitions, 125 catalogs, participation in or the organizing of 85 print fairs, and innumerable invitations and show posters, this is a pause to recall the past and share what we have built. I look forward to following the success of the next chapter of Davidson Galleries. - Sam Davidson
