INTROSPECTION

| STRENGTHENING DESIGN THROUGH NARRATIVE

| BIG BEND TEXAS NATIONAL PARK

For those visiting Big Bend National Park, Texas, they are often seeking a space of solitude . Introspection is a space meant for viewers to create and explore the meaning of “ Isolation ” . The dark, unpolluted night sky’s of Big Bend Texas, often creates this sense of “Isolation”. This sensation is enhanced through the comparison of scale regarding

Hominids and the universe. In order to play on this, the form of Introspection is meant to mimic that of an alien craft that colonized earth. This can create a sense of isolation not just within the users own personal life but enhances it to the solar system and the universe . Introspection aims at converging phenomenological and spiritual design.
